Marius sat in a black leather chair reading a newspaper, folded like a gentleman's in a private club.
"Louis is gone," he said without looking up.
"Leave, what do you mean?"
"To New Orleans," Armand said without looking up from the chess board, "to your apartment there, the one where Jesse saw Claudia."
"The plane is waiting for you," Marius said, still not taking his eyes off the newspaper.
"My people can drive you to the airport." Armand's eyes were still staring at his chess piece.
"What's going on? Why are you all so helpful? Why should I chase Louis?"
"I think you should bring him back," Marius said. "It's not good to have something like him sitting in that old apartment in New Orleans."
"I think you should go out and hang out and do something," Armand said. "You've been sitting here for too long."
"Well, I see now what this witch is becoming. Everyone is willing to give advice, but everyone will just sit back and watch. Why did you let Louis go to New Orleans? Couldn't you have stopped him?"
