Yue Lao is just a position. The current Yue Lao is the seventh Yue Lao in heaven.
The name is: Zui Zhe. When he was an immortal, he was called Jiu Xian. His true form was a pot of wine. It was said that the Creator God was addicted to alcohol and spent his whole life brewing it with the best divine herbs and fruits in the world. When the Creator God passed away, he was buried in the place where the aura of heaven and earth was the most powerful. Soon after, a spirit god was born. He absorbed the essence of heaven and earth and became a demon. In just tens of thousands of years, he became a god. Now he is the "World God" of creation in the world after the Creator God.
After becoming a god, the world respected him as God Xuanze. He is also known as Xuanze Buddha because he often interacts with Buddhists.
