Source of inspiration: Baidu Encyclopedia: The differential sensation threshold refers to the smallest difference in stimulation that can just cause differential sensations. It is also called the just noticeable difference, or JND for short; the ability to detect this minimum amount of difference is called difference sensitivity. Differential susceptibility and differential threshold are also numerically inversely proportional. The smaller the difference threshold, that is, the smaller the minimum difference between stimuli that can just cause a differential sensation, the greater the differential susceptibility.
