While the Normandy spacecraft was being "overhauled" due to the commander's trial, Shepard decided to go to Earth to visit the Cayden family. However, before he could sort out his emotions, a strange magnetic field storm caused his plane to make an emergency landing in the vast snowfield. And that's just the beginning of the trouble.
