Infinite, Sanskrit name Avici, transliterated as Abi; it is the eighth of the eight hot hells and the most miserable place. It is located 20,000 yojanas underground in Nandanbuzhou, and its depth and breadth are also 20,000 yojanas. The sentient beings who fall into this hell will suffer without interruption. Anyone who commits one of the five treasonous sins: killing his mother, killing his father, killing an Arhat, disrupting the harmony of the monks, and bleeding the Buddha's body will fall here after death.
