When I was a child, I heard the elders in my family mention that in that era there was a troupe who came here to set up a stage and sing operas. Xiaosheng was a pretty woman, and Xiaodan, who was equally handsome, were considered husband and wife. They ate and lived together, and they looked like a normal couple. I just thought, in that era, how much courage it took for two women to withstand the pressure of the world and work together for a lifetime, so this story was born.
