He was later transferred to the West by a Buddhist saint, reincarnated in a female body for hundreds of times, and became the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, which was later known as the Great Merciful and Great Compassionate Avalokitesvara.
It is said that Taoist Cihang is shaped like a lotus, so there is no fixed gender. It was only later that this Bodhisattva came into being in order to satisfy human beings' desire for maternal love.
