The book describes an adventure in another parallel world with the Ming Dynasty as the background. It is said that the four ancient gods who created the universe represent time and space, laws, elements, and life respectively. These gods are too powerful. In order to effectively intervene in the world they created, they constructed another world called a mirror to live in. When the world undergoes great changes, they can take measures in the mirror to lure the development outside to their expected track. But now there is a hidden danger that the mirror and the outside world can communicate with each other. The protagonists Chu Jianghan and Qin Yankuo were originally close friends, but due to a change, they happened to travel to the world where the gods lived - the mirror. They also gained extraordinary divine power. However, they are in two hostile camps. In order to complete their mission in the mirror and finally find each other, they still have a long adventure to go.
