I always feel that the protagonist is too unwary of this Nair. The protagonist is obviously the kind of person that everyone is suspicious of, but he suddenly changes his attitude towards someone without any change. He will overreact when he suffers a loss just because he has changed his decision, and he will even avoid or deliberately oppose the person he has a "good impression" of.
