During the Warring States Period, Fu destroyed the Southern Tang, Qi, and Chu, chased Liang, crossed to the northwest, and finally aspired to dominate the Central Plains. Fu Zu established the title of Hongyu, granted the four kings the title of guarding Liangyue, and established the prime minister to oversee three provinces and six ministries to assist in state affairs. He had Jixia Academy, Buddha Temple, and Wudang Mountain to lead Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism.
