It is said that the World Honored Sakyamuni passed away between the two cypress trees in Kushina City. There are two trees in the east, west, south and north. The two trees on each side are one prosperous and one withered, which is called "four withered and four prosperous".
The prosperous tree represents the true nature of Nirvana: eternity, happiness, self, and purity; the withered and withered tree represents the nature of the world: impermanence, no happiness, no self, and no purity. When the Tathagata Buddha passed away between these eight realms, he was neither withered nor prosperous, neither false nor empty.
