The ancient city of Jimo, located in the area of Zhumao Village in Guxian, Qingdao, Shandong Province today, is commonly known as Zhumao City. It is also called Kangwang City because Liu Ji, the son of Emperor Jing of the Han Dynasty, once served as the King of Jiaodong here. Since Qi Linggong destroyed Lai and built Jimo City as the capital of Qi in 567 BC, it has always been the political, economic and cultural center of the Shandong Peninsula until the founding of the Sui Dynasty. Liu Ji was closely associated with the ancient city of Jimo throughout his life.
