Volunteer education is the most beautiful form of poverty alleviation. In order to solve problems such as insufficient educational resources and backward education systems in poor areas, it is an effective method to send a team of lecturers to remote mountainous areas to carry out intellectual poverty alleviation. Ouyang Xuesong and the others are one of them. This article describes their experiences in poverty-stricken mountainous areas through the stories of Ouyang Xuesong and four other university graduates who went to poverty-stricken rural areas to support poverty alleviation and education. There were hardships and happiness, but more importantly, spiritual growth. At the same time, through their teaching interactions with eight students, they described their teaching philosophies and the contradictions and conflicts caused by two different teaching philosophies, explaining that students' comprehensive development is more important than success.
