Huainan (Gong) is a stable academic from a good family, but his family only cares about his grades. His parents are away from home all year round, and Huainan lives on campus. He has only one brother named Kang Le, who looks cold on the outside, but is actually a humorous person when he is with his brothers.
Yan Shu (shou), a transfer student in the third year of high school, was very chatty with his classmates. He loved to eat candied haws, and he had the same name as a poet. He was extremely partial to subjects. Among the major subjects, Chinese was the worst, but others were excellent. He was often made fun of by his classmates, and was later taken up by Huainan.
