The inspiration came from a joke I saw on Weibo: When I was in high school, I once played Dare, which involved two straight men pretending to be gay, and the one who backed down first lost. The other boy and I are both very stubborn, and neither of us wants to lose to the other. We have been married now for fourteen years, sleep in the same bed every day, and have adopted a daughter. If he doesn't back off, I'm going to suspect that he is really gay.
