I remember when I was young, on a very hot summer day, Fu Yandong and his grandfather were sitting on the threshold in front of the courtyard. Grandpa held a big bamboo fan he had made himself, shaking it creakingly. A gentle breeze blew slowly onto Fu Yandong's flushed face. Everything was so beautiful. Fu Yandong frowned and sneezed quietly, shaking slightly from side to side, but soon his eyes brightened again. He pointed at the fly flying in the sky not far away, "Grandpa! Look, it's an eagle!" He showed eight neat teeth and smiled stupidly at his grandfather. Grandpa Fu looked at the petite boy next to him, stroked his head with his big hands, smiled, and said nothing. "Grandpa" Fu Yandong raised his head, "When will brother come back?" The little boy's soft voice was full of excitement, "Spring... When the next spring comes, your brother will come back." Grandpa Fu did not look at him and turned his head to the side, as if he was talking to himself or to Fu Yandong again. Fu Yandong stared blankly at his grandfather. Several swallows flew across the sky out of the corner of his eye. The setting sun reflected on Fu Yandong's body, red as fire. Fu Yandong lowered his head and smiled again, "Then let's wait for brother to come back together." The grandfather sitting next to him trembled visibly, and he seemed to be much older.
