There always seem to be a few such ritualistic freeze-frame images in life that remain deep in my mind.
On a lazy summer afternoon, the boy I liked passed by the corridor by the window. The sun shone on him, and the light blue curtains were blown by the wind in a shallow arc. His figure flickered in and out of the curtains. He was talking to the friends next to him, smiling with crooked brows and eyes, warm and bright. Above the railing was the clear blue sky in summer. The boyishness about him was so clean that there was no trace of impurities, inadvertently and arrogantly invading every nerve ending of hers.
In a long life, it was just the most ordinary day.
