Have you ever prayed for gods to come and punish evil and promote good? Have you ever prayed that the mountains and rivers would be safe and the people would be safe? You have seen it and prayed for it, but then you stopped believing and gave up. In your sorrow, you resent the injustice in the world, but you are helpless and your anger passes away.
