22-Year-old Fang Chengru was sold by human traffickers to an unknown mountain in the southwest border. Escape was her only wish.
But her "buyer", a man with a broken leg, made her go from scared to curious to attracted. Her mind was confused.
How should she choose?
Free?
Or, love?
-------------------
Shen Bai is like a cypress tree growing on the edge of a cliff. He is used to being lonely and deserted.
He originally thought that it would be like this for the rest of his life. If the cliff collapsed and fell into a deep valley, it would be okay. If the wind blew him back, it would be okay.
But one day, an injured bird flew from the tree, and he realized that his body and mind could produce so many impulses and desires.
He hoped that the little bird could recover and fly high, but he was also afraid that she would never come back after flying away.
If I don't have wings, should I break hers?
Concept: The idea of the novel was born out of a social news story about a young woman who was trafficked because of the fetters of her child and stayed in the land where she was sold to work as a teacher. It was felt in my heart and has been brewing for more than three years. The story is different from the news, but I hope it can express the theme of experiencing painful sinking, letting go, and being redeemed by love.
