I was born by the sea in the south and grew up listening to the sound of the waves. That changeable voice is sometimes tender and sometimes heroic, sometimes delicate and sometimes it turns into a kind of fear. I watched my father and mother standing hand in hand on the rocks at the seaside, letting the last touch of red on the horizon dye them all through, burning their white clothes that had not changed all year round. It was the most impulsive scene I can remember seeing in my own eyes—at least until I left here.
I know that my three views are not correct. I just feel that there are always a lot of helpless things in this world. I have no power to change them, so in order to survive, I choose to compromise and change myself to cater to them. But when I lost my spine and started to change, I discovered that there is no end to a life of compromise, and a compromised existence will always be just for survival. A lost spine cannot be picked up, and rebirth will be extremely painful.
I am a timid person after all, and in the end I just chose to tell this story. And the people to whom I am writing this will certainly not see this. I only hope that no matter what kind of life you are facing when you see this, you can have the courage to say what you say and write what you write.
This is the first novel I have written. Many friends around me have pointed out to me that the entire novel is very confusing, the structure is not clear, and the middle is rotten. I also have to admit that this is my first time writing a novel and I didn't even give myself an outline. Everything was just a matter of walking on the watermelon rind. So please forgive me if there are any red flags. If you have any comments or suggestions, please don't be reserved. Just write them down openly.
Thank you very much ROSE for your carefulness. I will learn from the experience and improve it!
