[Authorization] Authorized: "If you've translated the Athrabeth itself - one of Tolkiens' most fascinating stories - you're no doubt more than qualified to translate Fell Fire."
This story was shortlisted for the finals of Mithril Awards 2003: Best Silmarillion, but since the same author can only keep one shortlisted work, the author Finch chose another one based on her personal preferences. In Finch's own words, "After all, this is merely derivative; it can't hold a candle to the real thing." It is a derivative of the story of Andreth and Agnor, and provides further thinking based on the article "Athrabeth Finrod ah Andreth, HoMe 10", and also provides a certain analysis of the characters' psychology. Even if it is not a relatively independent creation, it is undoubtedly a valuable interpretation.
