A little beggar (Xie Xuan) whose parents died when he was thirteen years old met a priest (Qing Yue) who came from heaven to the human world to eliminate demons. Qing Yue secretly sent Xie Xuan to heaven. Five years later, the incident was discovered. Qing Yue was demoted to earth and Xie Xuan experienced three years in the human world before ascending again.
