That's who they are. There are always people in the entire universe who want to pursue freedom. Marriage is a sign of death, and they don't want to die like that.
Before the age of twenty, they thought they were free. After the age of twenty, everyone thought they were free. But after the funeral, they finally knew that they had lived less free than others in their lives.
They proudly call it Eternal Celibacy.
