In the forty-fifth year of the Chaohe reign, Emperor Yingxuan You Qingyi passed away in Qianqing Palace.
Throughout his life, Emperor Xuan conquered the north and south, went on an expedition to Louhe, regained the southern border, and annexed the northern Qiang. During his reign, he recruited talented people, had good government and people, and the people lived and worked in peace and contentment. He was a wise king.
However, regarding his life and deeds, there are different stories and accounts circulated in history books and among the people.
The author has spent many years and visited many places to collect these fragmentary records and rumors, trying to restore a true Emperor Yingxuan. Some contents cannot be verified and I don't know whether they are true or not. If there are any fictitious things, I hope you will understand them.
Since this may be the only existing text that tells the story of Emperor Xuan's life, the author boldly calls it - "The Chronicles of Emperor Xuan"
Purpose: Break away from feudal ideas and achieve a better life
