Aurora, the goddess of the dawn in Greek mythology, fell in love with Tithonus, the son of the Trojan King. Aurora went to ask Zeus, the god of the gods, to grant Tithonus eternal life, but she forgot to ask Zeus to grant him eternal youth. So Tithonus in Olympus quickly grew old, and Aurora began to hate the aging Tithonus and always avoided him, but Tithonus still loved Aurora deeply. This was still the case until Tithonus was about to die. He begged Aurora and Zeus to turn him into a cricket so that he could always sing for Aurora at dawn.
