Growing pains, as the name suggests, are a painful phenomenon that occurs briefly during the development of adolescent bones. Just like changing teeth, it is a normal physiological reaction, not a disease.
Once the period of rapid growth and development is over, growing pains will naturally disappear as the bones mature.
