Two major events occurred in the tenth year of Qinghe. The first was in the early spring of the tenth year of Qinghe, when the eldest daughter of Prime Minister Zuo was conferred the title of queen.
In the autumn of the same year, Princess Hengshuo died of illness in the fiefdom of Hengyang.
One is for the whole country to celebrate, the other is for the whole country to mourn.
This eldest princess is truly a legend. After three dynasties, she was not of royal blood. Her father was a famous Zhenbei general and was later named the Zhenbei King to protect the country. She was made a princess by Taizong when she was born. At the age of sixteen, she was made a princess by the Zhou Emperor who had usurped the throne. Emperor Qinghe of the Qing Dynasty showed great favor to her. Legend has it that she helped Emperor Qinghe, who was still the crown prince, to return to power. After he ascended the throne, he first granted the fiefdom of Hengyang and then built a princess mansion for her. The eldest princess's mansion was an intact replica of the Guanju Palace where the eldest princess had lived. It was the only one in the world who was so honored. The eldest princess was not arrogant. She was showered with rewards, but she was depressed all day long and suffered from illness all year round. Emperor Qinghe issued an order to summon the best doctors and medicines from all over the world to treat her, but she finally died in the early winter of the tenth year of Qinghe.
"Aruoke, what words did you leave behind?"
"When the princess left, she said she would not meet His Majesty again in the next life."

In the 20th year of Qinghe's reign, the emperor ordered that the imperial mausoleum be built in Hengyang.
The emperor died in the 24th year of Qinghe and was buried in the Hengyang Imperial Mausoleum. He left a secret edict to move Princess Hengshuo to the imperial mausoleum.
