This novel "The Barren Years of Summer" is my debut novel. In fact, there are two people who have always been tied to me in my head, so I came up with the construction of the two characters of Midsummer and Li Zixu. However, I am actually very worried that some people will not like them, or even this story. However, after thinking for a long time, I still want them to appear in everyone's field of vision. Shengxia and Li Zixu are not just the protagonists in my novel. They are two living people who really exist in a certain spatial dimension, either ordinary or evil.
I do not have absolute control over them. Maybe I am just a narrator, so they will never belong to me, only to everyone who likes or dislikes them. The narrative line of the story will be very long, and they will stay with me for a long, long time.
The journey in midsummer is not smooth sailing, and there are bumps and bumps along the way, but you always have good intentions and hope to be treated gently by the world. Outside of his midsummer body, he is bright and high-spirited; but a corner on the other side of the mirror must be cold and dark. Our unknown secrets are guarded with our lives. The scars will be smoothed away by time, but they will never disappear. Li Zixu's character is actually erratic. I tried to make him escape from the world and be alone, but things in the world were not as expected. In short, he has a light but heavy status. Li Zixu may never love anyone in his life, or he may only love one person in his life, but Midsummer's love is separated in the third dimension, always light, sincere and passionate. I always feel that there is no forever and eternity in this world. My love for you can be waiting for you forever, or it can also be the determination to leave easily.
