This work uses multi-time and space artistic expression methods to tell stories that happened at Chilan Bridge in Hefei in three different time and space. Through multiple dreams of contemporary Hefei girl Liang Liao, the poignant love story of the Southern Song Dynasty poet Jiang Kui and the Hefei pipa girl is revealed.
The Southern Song Dynasty was located in the south of the Yangtze River. Silk and bamboo orchestras have long compared Xinjing to Bianjing. Jiang Kui, a poet of the Wanyue School in the Southern Song Dynasty, was a young man who lived in Chilanqiao, Hefei. He happened to meet a pair of Hefei singers. The elder sister was good at playing the pipa and the younger sister was good at moving the zither. And he had a touching and unforgettable love with Pipa Girl. Legend has it that the pipa girl pushed the Jinjun coach off the Chilan Bridge and then drowned herself holding the pipa. Their story is also one of the three major love tragedies that happened between famous poets in the Southern Song Dynasty. The longing that penetrated his heart and spleen for a lifetime also inspired his huge creative energy. Nearly one third of what he has done in his life is "Hefei love affairs".
Perhaps it was because this idea was so powerful that it was perceived by the Hefei girl more than 800 years later. Back then, it entered her dreams countless times without any rules.
She began to comb through this strange and nonsensical dream, hoping to find some clues. In the process of searching, she discovered that her grandfather was the current authority on ginger studies in China, which led to her grandfather's lifelong regret - the love and separation between a Kuomintang officer and a progressive female student.
Liang Liao lives in the present. In the Mood for Love, she is about to experience her own love.
Although times are different, they are all caused by major turning points in history, which lead to changes in the trajectory of life. In the end it can only be a dream, is it a crazy dream? Is it a residual dream? Or a dream come true?
Purpose: Through three love stories that happened at Chilan Bridge in Hefei in different time and space, we elicit historical propositions about what we should do after huge historical changes.
