Oliver Wood, the brown-haired goalkeeper of Gryffindor, mistakenly ate chocolate mixed with a love potion, and fell madly in love with Cedric Diggory, the brown-haired housewife of Hufflepuff, on Valentine's Day in 1992.
After waking up, Wood felt this was shameful and ridiculous, and hoped to never see Cedric again.
In 1995, 17-year-old Cedric was killed. Wood, who had agreed to never see each other again, lay on Cedric's body and cried heartbrokenly.
Everyone thought he was sympathetic to his opponent on the court. Only Myrtle, who often wandered around the bathrooms, knew how Hufflepuff's handsome and polite new prefect pressed Gryffindor's brown lion by the bathtub in the summer of 1994.
