If the Godaime hadn't received a request for help from the Kingdom of Sand one day in late spring, if Captain Sasuke hadn't actually taken over the mission, and if team member Naruto hadn't happened to be away from the village, then our beloved Kakashi-sensei wouldn't have been attacked by a kunai while watching "Intimate Love in Heaven", and he wouldn't have gently and deftly lifted up two fingers to hold the kunai, then lowered his head and smiled at the attacker below the balcony and asked:
"What's going on, Sasuke-san?"
