I fell in love with a platycodon plant that bloomed in front of my window. It shines brightly throughout the season, like a blue-violet flame. My heart throbbed and roared with the flame. I admired it and touched it, but I didn't have the courage to take it off. Until one afternoon, when clouds filled the sky, I told myself that I invited it into my vase to help it avoid the rain.
I thought that having this purple flame meant that I had grasped the hem of happiness. But I was wrong. I can't keep it. It is slowly fading, gradually becoming pale and losing its vitality. All I get is withering and heartbreak all over the ground. I should have known better. It never belonged to me or anyone else. It only belongs to that summer that can never come back.
Purpose: Describe the protagonist's stumblings in love and family relationships, and finally get out of the predicament and learn to grow.
