She recalled the time when she held the girl walking down like in the painting and recited a sonnet to her. A layer of fish-belly white spread from the horizon until dusk when the tired birds returned to their nests, and then they gathered the stars into a coir raincoat and fled amidst the noisy rain.
Now she was sitting alone on the guardrail, watching the fireworks explode into the sky like broken stars, and the laughter of tourists around her could be heard. Until the thick darkness swallowed up the bright lights of the tall buildings in the distance, and the snow fell all over the sky, people were dyed with frosty eyebrows, crane hair and red face.
