Preface: I have always wondered why Captain Nemo never mentioned the manuscript to everyone on the Mysterious Island - the manuscript recording his life and scientific research results mentioned in "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea". As we all know, he was trapped at the end of an undersea tunnel and had no chance to throw the bottle into the ocean, leaving it to future generations to miss by luck. When he appeared in the book, he was obviously prepared to appear and then disappear as an outsider. He was shocked that everyone on the Mysterious Island recognized him. He then recounted his life. It seemed that even introducing himself was a temporary decision. Why did he decide to bury his life in silence? And why did he change his mind and explain his life to everyone on the Mysterious Island? By making his life public, do he owe all land residents an explanation, or do he want to give an explanation to someone?
