Usually after I finish writing a novel, I will take it out and read it over and over again, because it is a work of mine that contains elements that I like, but I rarely reread this novel. The forced masochism plot set up for the heroine, and the logic that implies that people must use self-masochism to gain the love and understanding of their father, are all things that I cannot agree with now. I hope that readers will not agree too much with some of the ideas in this novel and just treat it as a pastime. It would be better if they can look at it with a critical eye.
