Hoshino Tatsu was born in a happy family, with loving parents and a brother who loved him. But everything disappeared when he was 12 years old. A man-eating ghost broke into the family. His parents died in order to protect him and his brother. The brother tried his best to drag the evil ghost away and fight for his escape. Opportunity, and eventually death, Hoshino Tatsu picked up an ax and chopped at the evil ghost. In order to take revenge, he joined the Demon Slaying Team and met Muichiro Tokiro, a boy of the same age who was also attacked by the evil ghost and lost his family. Together they became pillars, aiming to kill the ghost king and kill the evil ghost.
