There is no obvious villain among the main characters. Everyone has their own shortcomings and even made wrong decisions, but they are not typical bad guys or villains.
As for whether it's torture or not, I don't think it's actually torture. The characters have inner struggles and entanglements, but they are not considered sadistic. This is why I did not choose the label of "deep sadistic love".
Is it relatively slow to heat up, or very slow to heat up? Also, if I can stick to finishing the story I want to write, it will probably be very long (I hope I don't become a pigeon)
If I had to choose a female protagonist, it would be Lin Rou Shui. The wedge is a bit misleading, sorry.
