Miss Dorcas Meadows, a neurotic science and engineering laboratory dog, met her roommate in the next room on the first day she moved into her new home.
The new roommate seemed to have been woken up. He had messy hair on his head, and the collar of his pajamas was open, exposing his bony collarbone.
Dorcas saw his panda eyes and the reddish indentation on one cheek.
"Be quiet," he said hoarsely.
A few hours later, Dorcas went home to get an umbrella and met her roommate again.
There was deafening rock music playing in the living room, and her roommate was dancing around on a guitar that didn't exist.
Dorcas, inadvertently, burst into laughter.
"You go on." She smiled.
