Gu Qing came from the south of the Yangtze River and met Shen Ru in Peiping. In the chaotic years of war, Gu Qing participated in the student parade with a patriotic heart, and pulled Shen Ru to join the ranks of the Communist Party. In the following ten years, one of them fought on the battlefield, and the other hid in Southwest Associated University, cultivating a large number of outstanding scientific research students and making important contributions to the Anti-Japanese War.
After the Anti-Japanese War, Gu Qing took Shen Ru back to Jiangnan and lived their own small life peacefully.
