One day, the Sixth Patriarch Huineng came to Nanhai Faxing Temple and happened to meet Master Yinzong teaching the Nirvana Sutra. At that time, the wind blew the flags, and two monks argued about the wind and the flags. One said it was the wind blowing, and the other said it was the flags moving. The two monks argued endlessly. The Sixth Patriarch said: "It's not the wind that moves, it's not the flags that move, it's the heart of a benevolent person that moves."
