A short story about a gentle man and an immortal woman.
I had a dream two days ago. In the dream, an old man showed a box to a girl. Inside the box were rings, necklaces and the like.
The girl said to the old man, I seem to have heard this story before, it looks so familiar. Did they get together later?
The old man replied that they were not together, but he waited for her.
As the scene changed, the old man became very young. He was holding the girl and walking under the starry sky. There was a boy squatting in the grass. The young man and the girl both smiled brightly. It felt like they were full of love and hope. So there were Jiang Yuebai, Long Qiu and Lou Yichen, who had no sense of existence and could only squat in the grass. Ha ha.
Later, when I woke up from the dream, I felt a little sad. The girl had not aged and even forgot about her grandfather.
I thought about it for a long time when I wrote this story. I thought it would be very sad for a person to remember everything, so I chose to let the girl remember it. Before writing, I was debating whether to write the beginning of the dream first or last, and the result is as you can see in the article.
Maybe I will write a story about a gentle man and a woman who is no longer immortal in the future, but this is the story of Jiang Yuebai and Long Qiu in another time and space.
