The punishment for a person without conscience in the world is to have her conscience discovered one day.
The same was true for Liang Xin's punishment. When she found out that she had plotted against the only person in the world who truly loved her and treated her well, and therefore lost him forever, she would be tortured by her conscience every day for the rest of her life.
