Wei and Wu were at war all the year round. During the Xia Dynasty's Battle of Yu and Chu, the prominent families at the border between the northern and southern borders took advantage of the situation and raised their troops. They took over 20 cities around them, established an alliance with Beizhou, and established the country as Xia. Wei and Wu were seriously injured and signed a truce for 15 years to recuperate.
