I am a moderately accomplished writer, and for the purpose of relaxing and collecting stories, I came to stay overnight at the hut in the bamboo forest of my former friend and book engraver Nan Ji. During several orders in Nanji, he met Pang Wuji, a chivalrous girl from a wealthy family, and Jian Wanghe, the matchmaker's son, and was involved in a dull story of escape.
