By chance (actually they had met before), the classmate met Bai Jin, and happened to be in the same school. They became roommates without knowing each other. When they went out to play, the classmate mustered up the courage to express his feelings to her. After going through various hardships, their parents accepted them. Finally, they were admitted to Peking University and became the youngest pair of professors in Peking University.
