The novel tells the story from the heroine's perspective of an infatuated love affair with Zhuang Shaoming, the heir to an urban upstart group. From the initial encounter in an elevator when both parties looked disgusted with each other, to the mutual affection, to confirmation of mutual feelings, and breaking up due to misunderstandings, the heroine traveled to a foreign country to heal her emotional injuries, and finally met again on the streets of a war-torn country because of love.
