Alien meteorites carry an unnamed virus to the earth, infecting humans around the world. Overnight, humanity split into two, some gaining super powers and becoming super humans. Some turned into zombies, eating people and drinking blood. Animals and plants are no longer cute little things to watch and caress, but competitors. After an initial panic escape, Second Lieutenant Xu Lin and his girlfriend Lan Xiaoxue returned to the capital Yangjing City, only to learn that their elder brother had died outside the city while searching for him. After some investigation, Xu Lin went out of the city to search and was surrounded by zombies. The one who came to save him was Qi Tianlei, whom he least wanted to see, and both of them died in the end. Xu Lin woke up again, and the time had returned to the day after the meteorite landed. He and Lan Xiaoxue were about to meet.
