The Japanese comic "Slam Dunk" is a derivative of Danmei works. Those who don't know what Danmei is or are sensitive to Danmei should be careful before entering.
Set in Tangier, an international free city in northwestern Morocco in North Africa during World War II (in fact, the story of the movie "Casablanca" should have taken place here), it describes the brief encounter between French writer Sendou and American pilot Rukawa and their renewed love in another free continent-North America.
Excerpt:
"What if the pilot doesn't come back?"
"He will come back. He promised the writer that he would come back alive."
"He is just an ordinary person. Although he has made a promise, he is actually not sure. He just doesn't want the people he likes to lose hope."
"But the writer still believed that he could come back. So, he decided to wait and wait."
"That seems a little naive."
Xiandao smiled: "Innocence is one of the brilliance of human nature that he admires."
