The title of the book comes from a traditional Chinese medicine.
Pinellia ternata is known as the time teller of summer. It has three phases: the first phase is when antlers are released, the second phase is when cicadas begin to sing, and the third phase is when pinellia is born. It is Qin Qianhuai's favorite traditional Chinese medicine, and it also represents the encounter between Qin Qianhuai and Xie Xingjiang. They use pieces of Pinellia to make up an entire summer, and even every summer in the future.
The world has never been peaceful, but how many people in the world like disputes? After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, a "small court" was established in the Jianghu, namely Jiuchaoque, which intensified the disputes among the sects. Every nine years, a martial arts competition is held to select the leader of the Nine Dynasties. Each sect is gearing up and using all the moves they can. Unexpectedly, a swordsman genius emerges - Xie Xingjiang. With his own strength, he shocked the world and weeping ghosts and gods. He finally came out on top by relying on "foolish people have stupid blessings" and fulfilled his master's last wish. Qin Qianhuai studied under a famous doctor and was determined to help the world by hanging a pot, and he was indeed very skilled in medicine. Unexpectedly, he saved Xie Xingjiang's life, and then he could never escape from the fool again - his innocence was plotted against him! Xie Xingjiang has no family or sect. His master was still the previous master of the palace and was abandoned by the sect. He was not recognized by the sects at first. Once he showed up, he became the target of public criticism. The two followed each other all the way and eventually got married. After Xie Xingjiang was swept away by evil spirits, the two of them disappeared from everyone's sight. Only a swordsman and a doctor, a sword and a medicine box, were seen traveling across the mountains and rivers of the motherland.
