I am a boatman, called Du Weng. It's a monster without legs, and it looks like a kite. Drifting on the water all my life, I rely on an oar in my hand and the reward for crossing the river. Whether it's people, souls or cargo, as long as there is a need for a ferry, I will take them away at the ferry. And the remuneration I get is sometimes money, sometimes stories, all kinds of remuneration. In normal times, what I like most is to drink a cup of tea, eat a few pastries, listen to some music, rest for an afternoon, and listen to the tea guests talk about the past in a teahouse.
Purpose: I hope that after listening to these stories, I can feel relieved about the unpleasant things that have happened to me.
